Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland: A Photo Gallery

Today we are delighted to feature a new collaborator: Alice Pennefather, sister of Royal Ballet principal dancer Rupert Pennefather. Alice will be regularly showcasing her dance photos over here and her first gallery features the full general rehearsal of Christopher Wheeldon’s colourful production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, which has just returned to the Royal Opera House.

We are blown away by Alice’s talent in capturing all the action on stage, the way she gives us a full sense of the narrative combined with the eye-catching details. We hope you will be too:

PS: If you can’t make it to London to watch Wheeldon’s Alice, there is still time to get your hands on a DVD/Blu-ray from our exclusive giveaway.

About Alice Pennefather:

With a twin brother flying high as a star of the Royal Ballet, Alice’s creative talents lie in image making. After studying photography at Falmouth College of Arts, she spent 6 years travelling and working abroad, focusing on scuba diving and filming underwater. She has recently returned to London and rediscovered her love of everything Ballet. Alice now works as a freelance photographer, and is a regular at the Royal Ballet General Rehearsals – photographing for us here at The Ballet Bag.
