Alice Pennefather’s latest rehearsal gallery covers the Royal Ballet’s revival of MacMillan’s Mayerling. The production returns next week with the first outing – this run – of Carlos Acosta & Leanne Benjamin, with the last performances marking the retirement of two MacMillan greats: Mara Galeazzi (13 June, relayed on BP Big screens)Â and Leanne herself (15 June).

With a twin brother flying high as a star of the Royal Ballet, Alice’s creative talents lie in image making. After studying photography at Falmouth College of Arts, she spent 6 years travelling and working abroad, focusing on scuba diving and filming underwater.
