Ashton Mixed Bill: A Photo Gallery

Scènes de Ballet

The Royal Ballet is currently celebrating English style in ballet, with a mixed programme of some of Frederick Ashton’s most iconic works, including the abstract masterpiece, Symphonic Variations (which the company had last performed in 2007). Alice Pennefather dropped by the general rehearsal to capture these lovely images:

The Ashton Mixed Bill continues at The Royal Opera House until 12 November 2014. For more information and booking, visit the ROH website.

Alice’s creative talents lie in image making. After studying photography at Falmouth College of Arts, she spent 6 years travelling and working abroad, focusing on scuba diving and filming underwater. She has recently returned to London and rediscovered her love of everything Ballet. Alice now works as a freelance photographer, and is a regular at the Royal Ballet General Rehearsals – photographing for us here at The Ballet Bag.
