Le Corsaire at ENB: a photo gallery

Brooklyn Mack as Conrad, Junor Souza as Ali and Laurretta Summerscales as Medora

Last month, Alice Pennefather was at the Coliseum to capture English National Ballet in one of our favorite productions, Anna-Marie Holmes’s staging of classical blockbuster Le Corsaire. This revival marked the promotion of Laurretta Sumerscales, now the company’s newest principal.

Alice was able to capture Laurretta as Medora, plus male leads Junor de Souza (Ali) and Brooklyn Mack (Conrad), the latter a guest with ENB for this season. Next ports-of-call for this ship are the Royal Opera House in Muscat and Palais Garnier, no less!

Alice’s creative talents lie in image making. After studying photography at Falmouth College of Arts, she spent 6 years travelling and working abroad, focusing on scuba diving and filming underwater. She has recently returned to London and rediscovered her love of everything Ballet. Alice now works as a freelance photographer, and is a regular at the Royal Ballet General Rehearsals – photographing for us here at The Ballet Bag.
